THE BALIONIC FYRD

Intro

The Balionic Fyrd is dedicated to participating in community events through 3 play styles for members.

1) Battles Members can participate weekly in various events where multiple clans are pitted against each other in massive battles similar to the line battle and shield battle events of Warband in the past.

2) Competitive Members can test their skills playing with the clan in competitive 1v1s against other clans in tournaments, for fun, and to settle intra-clan disputes.

3) Roleplay Take part in small and large scale roleplay servers with the clan in servers such as Bannerlord Roleplay and Persistent World-like servers.

Members may partake in any or all of the 3 main playstyles of the Balionic Fyrd

Lore

King Vattier's army at the Battle of the Divines

Drawing upon the Mount & Blade wiki on Balion, the Balionic Fyrd is set in the early middle ages scenario of Bannerlord as a clan hailing from this little known region. Subsequently, because it is believed Balion is a place resembling early medieval Britain, the Balion Fyrd is modelled after various factions of the British Isles of the era. This is seen in our structure resembling that of early medieval Anglo-Saxons (hence 'fyrd'), as well as minor 'hat tips' to other British groups such as Brythonic and Goidelic Celtic groups as well as Viking or Nordic invaders, and to an extent, the Normans.

Across the Western Ocean in the lands of Balion a great Fyrd has been raised by Vattier, King of Balion, and sets sail for the distant lands of Calradia. Taking advantage of this foreign continent divided between various waring kingdoms and a falling empire, the Balionic Fyrd is in a unique position to offer their swords as mercenaries, or placate themselves in real-estate carved out for and by them...
